Wow, I was quite surprised to find this new article about the disappearance of Jean Moore, which occurred 20 years ago last week:
http://www.vvdailypress.com/news/lat...ing-apple.html Jean's disappearance has always been pretty frustrating in that she isn't listed on the Doe Network or Charley Project or any other missing persons website, and there's virtually no info about her case anywhere on the Web. This article doesn't provide much new information, but it features an interview with a friend of Jean's who works as a private investigator. He is still working on trying to solve her case and thinks he may eventually find out what happened to her. The article also does confirm that Al Henderson passed away in 2001. Well, it's at least good to know that this case hasn't been completely forgotten about. |

Wow thanks for posting that, it was an interesting read. Good to know she's still being looked for. I wish her friend would have went into further detail about his suspicions, however.

That case always stuck with me because of video surveillance in the casino.....how jean wasn't where her husband claimed she was. I always want to trust the elderly, until I remind myself they couldve been young creeps...

Oh yeah. Did anyone else ever suspect his bookkeeper might have been keeping more than books?

That article claims that he is close to finding out what happened to her. I hope that's the truth as I know her family and us UM fans would love to know the truth.

she would be 80 this July if she is still alive, which I don't feel she is.

Casino security is pretty darn hardcore/severe, if this lady was inside the casino when the fiancee had said she was(albeit he'd changed his story), they'd have picked her up on surveillance cameras. Thus for me then, if the fiancee's story doesn't match what the cameras show(just him in the shots), then his story becomes something of a fabrication and then he's lying about something.
All this talk about the fiancee giving up reward money for her return and his willingness to give up his fortune sounds quite noble....however if one knows there's no chance of a return, there's a great chance they'd be willing to offer any number of sums, for they no there's no chance of it ever being fulfilled. Hinky case, I always look towards the person who's story doesn't fit. |
