There will be two showings at 3 AM on Spike, Tuesday, April 10th and Tuesday April 17th. That's it.
Tuesday, April 10th An allegedly cursed chair; a briefcase bomber; a home-contracting scheme. Also: a woman vanishes after telling her family about a trip she planned to take with her boyfriend. Tuesday, April 17th Microscopic evidence of life on Mars; the Wickenburg Massacre. Also: an aneurysm leaves a woman with memory loss and makes her prone to episodes of disappearing. |

Seriously, how are old cases supposed to be solved if there's less airing of the show? Robert Stack's probably rolling in his grave at the misuse/disuse of Unsolved Mysteries.

It's very surprising to me they went to this great expense 4 years ago to reproduce Unsolved Mysteries when there was nothing that needed to be reproduced.
I think there isn't an audience anymore for a regular slot of this show on television, but there's definitely an audience for the old version show on the internet. Why don't they just re-release old episodes on Netflix? Would of been much more cost effective they doing what they did. |

Like everyone on the board I love "UM". But Spike really and I mean *really* killed the show! Dennis Farina is a fine actor and even used to be a Det. But on the show he is just not engaging. (Not his fault. Look at what he has to work with) the segments are butchered and the music and editing is truly abysmall. Perhaps they should just let sleeping Dogs lie.
I think it's so foolish some channel can't just re-air the Stack episodes. But due to red tape and legal issues (I'm guessing) that won't happen. What a shame. |

OMG! OMG!! I couldn't sleep last night was channel surfing and came across an episode of UM on Spike! Yes, it was at 3:00 a.m., and yes, it was a "Farina episode", but still..... After months and months of a UM droubt on TV, finding this little crumb was like a tall, cool, glass of water. Okay, okay, I'll stop overreacting now, LOL.
As nice as that unexpected gem was however, it sure did make me long for the good old days of Robert Stack. I think I held my own little funeral service at home when he passed away. *sigh* |

While the new UM with Farina had its faults at least it didn't go the AMW route and do new overlong reenactments with horrendously bad acting. I will give it props for that.
And ernmerica, you are a jerk. Enough said. |
