Jamie Lee Curtis Wants To Be An "NCIS" Series Regular (VIDEO)

Jamie Lee Curtis has made quite an impression on "NCIS" as Dr. Samantha Ryan. Her guest spots have been so well-received that every time Curtis guests on an episode, the show's already-impressive ratings tend to rise.

Curtis stopped by "CBS This Morning" to talk about her budding on-screen romance with Mark Harmon's character, Special Agent Gibbs, and admitted that she's interested in joining the show as a series regular.

"If they can figure out the storytelling, which I'm sure Gary [Glasberg] can, I would obviously love to. I've very much enjoyed establishing her life and her role on the show, and now I would love to be able to play a little bit with Gibbs."





Curtis explained that portraying her character's relationship with Gibbs has been one of the most rewarding aspects of the "NCIS" experience.

"He's a fascinating character ... He's a tough nut to crack. He's like a war photographer ... he's very much in his own world looking and trying to solve the world's problems, but for this woman to be able to get in there a little bit, has been really challenging and fun."
