"Live! with Kelly" Gets a New Set

"Live! with Kelly" is getting a new set. After some reruns and a week in Canada, Kelly Ripa returns home to a brand new studio, debuting Mon., April 9.

According to "Live!", the new studio, which you can see in the sneak peek photo below, is the biggest update the set has gotten since "Live!" became nationally syndicated in 1988.





The new set has a "contemporary downtown-style loft" and features earthy materials such as wood and stone finish with a golden palette with punches of color.

Other additions to the new set include larger spaces for performances and demo segments and a new lighting system with LED fixtures.

Along with the new set, "Live! with Kelly" is bringing in a house DJ for the week of April 9.





On Mon. April 9, Howie Mandel will co-host, Samantha Ronson will DJ and scheduled guests include Sofia Vergara, L.A. Reid and the latest eliminated "American Idol" contestant.

On Tues., April 10, Mandel and Ripa welcome DJ Pauly D, "Up All Night" star Christina Applegate and "The Big C's" Gabourey Sidibe.

Carson Kressley joins Ripa on Wed., April 11 with DJ Cassidy, a favorite of President Obama, and guests Cheryl Hines, Monica and Brandy.

"Community" star Joel McHale makes his co-host debut on Thurs., April 12 with DJ Chrissie Miller, Laura Linney and Bradley Whitford.

McHale returns as co-host on Fri., April 13 with DJ Twist and "Mad Men" star John Slattery.
