"Benson" Season Two (Sony MOD) DVD May 1st - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Benson (Robert Guillaume) confronts two new obstacles to maintaining order in the wacky household of the widowed Governor Gatling - Chief of Staff Clayton Endicott III (Rene Auberjonois) and Press Secretary Pete Downey (Ethan Phillips).

While working to fix the problems these two newcomers create in the executive mansion, Benson manages to foil a foreign plot to steal a priceless gold statue, help his chief nemesis Gretchen Kraus (Inga Swenson) gain citizenship, and withstand a siege by protesters who've encircled the governor's mansion.

And after he and Governor Gatling are caught by a muckraking press corps as they are helping an old friend who has taken ill in a bordello, the unexpected death of the State Budget Director leads to Benson being elevated to the post.

Newly remastered.

Yeah, it was due for then, but I guess it was delayed.

Can't find it on the WB Shop also.

It has already been released by WB shop. I got my copy last week! Amazon still havent released it yet. I love that the WB had free shipping on it too..

Actually, someone posted on Amazon that they received S2 from WB and there was an episode missing and they added the first two episodes from S3. Is that true?

Also I just checked the WB Shop. No Benson listed whatsoever. DeepDiscount.com shows a 4/17 release date.

Something here is really screwy.

I had not opened my DVD set yet cause I was under the weather but after seeing your post I opened it up to discover mine is also missing episode 1 and disk 3 has the first 2 episodes of season 3. You would think they would know which episode is in season 2. I have contacted tvshowsondvd to find out if they will be a replace disk trade with those who have already purchased the season. I am going to contact WBshop tomorrow by phone.

Unreal. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate like hell the fact that they want to release this to fans like me who might not otherwise get a chance to own it, but if you're going to do it, do it right. How hard is it to pull up an episode guide and make sure you have it right, for crying out loud? I have seen at least three or four episode guides for Benson on the internet that are all correct, so it's not like the information isn't readily available.

It's not rocket science.
