Default Season 6 Howard

Okay. So as I understand it there are a lot of people (at least a few) who aren't big Howard fans. I actually like him. He's a sweet guy, his stupidity is kind of cute...until you get to season 6/late s5 that is. For me he becomes so irritating at this point, that it's no longer even believable.

I mean, his walking into Bob and Emily's bedroom when they didn't even know he was there (an ep from last night)...come on, walking into a couple's bedroom in the middle of the night, they could be doing anything in there...the least of which is sleeping... and earlier this week (still s5) his coming in and begging Emily to make him tea or coffee or something at 3 o'clock in the morning....no wonder Ellen went back to Cleveland. And no wonder Bob and Emily never had kids...if they'd wanted to I kind of have to wonder if dear Howard would've left them alone long enough...

Anyway, am I the one who thinks this?

Howard is the character I hate the most on the show. He doesn't act like a man and I just hate whatever seen he is in. Why was Bob so patient with him? It's like him and emily knew he was a little special and dealt with him in a child like way

lol

BTW: I want the life of Bob and emily, married and no kids

You know, your post just made me think of something. Why do they placate him the way they do especially given that they don't allow Howie to act that way around them...and he is a child. Kind of funny, am I right?

And I agree. Bob and Emily's life and relationship is very appealing in many ways.

Of all the sitcoms I watched in my life, howard is definitely the weirdest character of all time. lol

For sure. Sometimes though, he reminds me very much of Roger (from IDOJ, also played by Bill)..but much dumber.

I love how last night, in the episode with Emily's former boyfriend, Howard was all worried about who was going to get "custody" of him should something happen between Bob and Emily...

Yeah, he did something like that in just about every episode last night. Jerry just looked at him when he said that and I think it cut to commercial...it was late I don't really remember.

....something else to wonder about Howard. I always feel like his feelings for Emily are more than just...friendly. Do you think it's possible that he hangs around, acts like an idiot-child and begs her to do things for him just because he likes her and wants to be around her? I mean, if you think about it, it sometimes seems that way...especially given that he's not as clingy (to Bob and especially Emily) during the time he's with Ellen...

It was at the end of the episode when Mr. Carlin took Emily to his highschool reunion. After Mr. carlin says.."bob is lucky to have a wife like you and a patient like me" and walk out the door. It looks like the episode will end like that

But then ******** ass Howard bursts through the door with a bucket of squashed grapes that he stood on and you see his feet with grapes all over them.

I just left the room

True!!!! I often wonder if Bob doesn't put up with him just because he knows that as a psychologist...why else logically would you do everything for another grown man whose not related to you?
