it's the one thing that bugs me to no end when watching the first few seasons. That annoying CLAP - CLAP - CLAPCLAPCLAPCLAPCLAPCLAP ad infinitum. Some of them even begin with someone going "ohhhhhhhhhhhh" in the distant background. It wasn't til the show got to season 6(the later part where music was begun to be used as cues) where this device was finally dropped for good.

Dunno..I'm not too big a fan of the clapping, but I thought the music even more cheesy.

Having said that, I think it was a brilliant move to have the episode "Crusin'" to be shot at that time without a laugh track. It showed so well what really made the show--the four girls interacting, being themselves more than anything else--having nice, special moments and dead-panning each other, all in a sort of documentary style. Would have loved to see more episodes like that.

However, the movies didn't have a laugh track, and they were...awful. Sorry for going off topic :S
