Something About Bess Lindstrom That Confuses Me???
Why does she call her Mom & Dad...Phyllis and Lars? Was there a reason why she called them by their real 1st names?

I believe that Phyllis insisted upon this, thinking it was making her a "progressive mother". Just another of Phyllis' vain and wrongheaded motherly decisions!
