Monica & Brandy: 'It All Belongs To Me' Video

Monica and Brandy's original hookup on 1998's 'The Boy Is Mine' was brilliant for several reasons. Aside from it becoming a surprise global smash (it went top five in 16 countries), they recently revealed that a serious altercation took place between them moments before performing at the MTV VMAs, resulting in an extremely rare instance where the song's lyrics were in fact being played out before our very eyes.

It was always unlikely that lightning would strike twice for the duo. They've since patched things up, and instead of throwing shade at one another, the pair channel their anger towards the men that caused the rift in the first place. "You must be blind/ You must be dumb/ You must be trippin'," they claim over a sassy, midtempo R&B beat - one of many hooks that sadly fail to catch on. The magic isn't entirely lost, but even a small dig at each other would have satisfied our needs.
