I dunno if anyone's posted this question before but how many bands or singers can you name that have appeared on sitcoms? Here are the ones that I can think of -
K.D. Lang, Bob Dylan and Lyle Lovett all appeared on 'Dharma & Greg'. K.D. Lang, Melissa Ethridge, Bonnie Raite and Aaron Nevelle all appeared on 'Ellen'. Nsync appeared on Clueless. Gladys Knight appeared on 'A Different World'. ------------------ "This life has been a test. If it were an actual life you would have recieved instructions on where to go and what to do." - Angela, 'My So-called Life' "...everything was there and around us. We knew exactly who we were and exactly where we were going. It was grand." - Gordie, 'Stand By Me' Please visit Mossopp's TV Corner - http://members3.boardhost.com/TVcorner |

The Muffs also appeared on Clueless. They played a song I've been curious about finding.
Anthrax played on Married..with Children. Davy Jones was also on Herman's Head, and some others. |

All in the Family: Sammy Davis, Jr.
Here's Lucy: Petula Clark, Liberace, Donny Osmond, Robert Goulet, probably many others The Jeffersons: Sammy Davis Jr., Sister Sledge (of "We Are Family" fame) The Facts of Life: Jermaine Jackson, El De Barge, Stacey Q, Bobby Rydell, Fabian Gimme a Break: The Pointer Sisters, Ray Parker Jr., Sammy Davis Jr. Silver Spoons: Menudo, Whitney Houston Magnum PI: Frank Sinatra (though not a sitcom, it warrants a mention) The Golden Girls: Julio Iglesias Night Court: Mel Tormé (many times) Married with Children: Edd "Kookie" Byrnes Full House: The Beach Boys (I love the Beach Boys but I really really do not like FH and I have convinced myself that Brian Wilson wasn't sober when they made this decision to appear) The Simpsons: Nsync, Britney Spears, Kid Rock, Smashing Pumpkins, Cypress Hill, Robert Goulet, Bette Midler, Ringo Starr, NRBQ, Tony Bennett, Barry White, Willie Nelson (next year REM is rumored to be guest starring) MAD TV: The Presidents of the United States of America Bette: Olivia Newton-John Also: Dionne Warwick sang the theme from the Love Boat during its final season Dusty Springfield and BJ Thomas recorded the theme from Growing Pains (liked the theme, but not the series) |

John Sebastian, Ritchie Havens, Peter Noone, Mark Lindsay, Robbie Krieger and Spencer Davis all appeared on Married... With Children in the same episode. BB King was also on Married... With Children. Dave Mustaine and Reverend Horton Heat also appeared on Drew Carey. Chrissie Hynde (Pretenders) appeared on Friends. EG Daily (voice of Tommy Pickles, also a singer) appeared on Friends. Bruce Willis (hey, remember his album?) also was on Friends. Rick Springfield appeared in a couple episodes of Suddenly Susan. ALso those two guys from The Turtles appeared on Suddenly Susan and sang "Happy Together". Vanessa L. Williams, Tom Jones, Tevin Campbell and Bell Biv Devoe all were on Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

Also I just remembered, Samantha Fox was on Charles In Charge. Milli Vanilli appeared on the Super Mario Bros 3 cartoon show. I think Alice Cooper was on That 70's Show. Alice Cooper was on The Gong Show one time, but that doesn't really count as a sitcom. But, hey, it's funnier that a lot of them. Tammy Wynette was on Married... With Children.
