Default Shows that should be released on DVD

Here is a list of shows that should be released on DVD. Since they are not all sitcoms, I have put them on this board.

Mister Ed
The Beverly Hillbillies
McHale's Navy
Petticoat Junction
The Fugitive (1963-67)
My Favorite Martian
Green Acres
Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C.
Bewitched
I Dream of Jeannie
Get Smart
Batman
Mission: Impossible (1966-73)
Ironside
The Courtship of Eddie's Father
The Partridge Family
The Odd Couple
The Bob Newhart Show (1972-78)
Chico and the Man
Happy Days
Starsky and Hutch

Any one of these series on DVD would be great.

I think that alot of the things that make sense to put on DVD, especially from a business standpoint (as they are pretty much guaranteed to sell well) are the shows that have cult followings. Many such shows are already being put on DVD, such as The Simpsons, The X-Files, Star Trek and Star Trek: The Next Generation.

I think they should also release Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Voyager, but I'm sure they will in time, a few years from now. I think they need to re-release the Star Trek Original Series DVD's because they are being dumbasses and only putting 2 episodes per DVD, which IMO is a waste and is more expensive for people who may want to collect the whole series.

I also think these should be on DVD:

The Facts of Life
Cheers
Frasier
Friends
The Cosby Show
I Love Lucy
M*A*S*H
Futurama
Dragon Ball Z
Powerpuff Girls
The Critic
Family Guy
24

I think that ER, Law and Order and Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies should too, but I don't think they should release every episode necessarily.....maybe just have an online poll and have fans pick their favorite episodes and make like a "greatest hits" DVD or two.

Friends, Family Guy, Powerpuff Girls and Futurama are all out on DVD already.

Personally I wanna see Seinfeld and My So-called Life get DVD releases. I think it would be comercially viable as there are a lot of Seinfeld and MSCL fans out there. I also wanna see Twin Peaks on DVD - I know it's available in America but it's not out in the UK yet.

Hee hee....shows how much I know. I don't even own a DVD player yet, so I don't pay any attention to what's out unless I see a commercial for it. And then the commercial has to stick in my brain...I do now recall seeing a commercial for Friends on DVD once...

I was just thinking of adding My So-Called Life but you beat me to it!

I'll also add These Friends of Mine to my list (if you don't remember, this show later became "Ellen" with a slightly different cast. Ellen was still very good, and heck I wouldn't mind seeing that on DVD, but I liked These Friends of Mine more).

Woah - I didn't think there were any Ellen fans on here!! I love Ellen DeGeneres - she's such an inspiration to me. I wouldn't mind seeing 'Ellen' on DVD but it took me so long to get all the episodes on tape (yes, I have every episode) that it'd kinda suck getting the DVD after it took all that effort to compile my tapes.
I doubt there'd be a huge market for 'Ellen' on DVD anyway, that was another reason I didn't mention it. However, if we're not taking consumer demand into account then I'd also like to see the following on DVD -

Zoe Duncan Jack & Jane
2 Guys & a Girl
Daria (I think Daria DVDs are available in America)
Season 1 2 & 3 of Dharma & Greg
Just Shoot Me
Duckman
Downtown (does anyone remember this cartoon? I think they only made, like, 12 episodes)

BTW Bootsy - the 5th season of Ellen was the best!!

I love Ellen DeGeneres. I think she is one of the best comedians of all time. I can't believe you have every episode on tape! wow! I wish Ellen would be put into syndication. Actually, I don't think I saw much of the 5th season....I sort of dropped out of watching it somewhere in the middle....(though no offense to Ellen, of course....I simply had a few years there where I didn't watch much TV at all, and I dropped out of alot of my favorite shows. Consequently I am missing huge gaps in The X-Files and some other shows.)

I remember the first season most because I used to have some of it on tape myself, and I'd watch the episodes over and over. I've been looking for those tapes on and off for like over a year but I haven't found them....I fear I taped over them *gasp*

I remember one episode where like the whole thing is Ellen standing in line at the DMV, and then there was one where she started belting out "Why don't you build me up Buttercup" on the phone while on hold, and I remember one where she was trying to get a waiter's attention and she was snapping her fingers and saying "garçon" and she fell over in her chair or something, lol. ahhhh memories.....
