....Especially after he prevented Ted from taking the job as a game show host in NYC! Ted was offered over $1750 a week compared to his $750 a week at WJM. Did Lou soften any towards Ted in the final season after this episode?

Also, Ted revealed Mary Richards salary to be $258 bucks a week. Was that a lot during the early 70's? It doesn't seem like much at all.

It was more than enough. Remember the show took place in Minneapolis, not New York where even then one & two bedroom apartments cost thousands montly to rent.
