But if you're looking for tidbits to keep you satiated in those lean months unto the premiere of Season 3, here's one. Michael Rooker will be reprising his role as Merle. During a "Lollipop Chainsaw" panel at Wondercon yesterday the actor wouldn't reveal much but he went on to say that he lost 20 pounds for the role. http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/news/28790 |

Michael Rooker talks those "Walking Dead" Merle/Governor Rumors
Posted by Michael Gingold Mar 26, 2012 It was announced recently that David Morrissey will play the iconic Governor character in the third season of AMC’s "The Walking Dead", and Michael Rooker has confirmed his return as Merle. There was early speculation, however, that Daryl’s one-handed bro would reappear in the Governor role, and the actor spoke briefly about that chatter to Fango. “Merle’s coming back; I can’t really say when or in what capacity,” Rooker told us at the recent Monster Mania convention in New Jersey. Regarding those Merle/Governor rumors: “I’m glad that’s over with, ’cause I was so tired of trying to skirt around questions and answers in regards to the Governor. I knew I wasn’t gonna be the Governor; Merle is Merle, and Merle’s not the Governor. I know people wanted me to be the Governor, but personally, I didn’t feel that Merle ever could be, so I’m glad all that’s out in the open, that they have their Governor and all is cool.” So what capacity will we see Merle in when "The Walking Dead" returns? “No comment,” Rooker laughs. http://www.fangoria.com/index.php/ho...overnor-rumors |
