'The Walking Dead' Facebook Game Announced
AMC's The Walking Dead Social Game has been announced as a free-to-play Facebook title.
The network has teamed up with developer Eyes Wide Games to release the zombie-themed game for the social network. Walking Dead Social Game gives Facebook users the chance to go on "anti-walker" missions with turn-based combat. The game will continue in real-time when players log out, leaving it to their friends to protect them from the undead. The title will take its cues from the AMC television series rather than Robert Kirkman's Image Comics series, depicting scenarios from the show as well as brand new set pieces. Telltale Games is also working on a Walking Dead video game, which will be a story-driven affair for PC and home consoles. Walking Dead season two returned from its mid-season hiatus on February 12 in the US. The show airs on FX in the UK.
