Smile I finished. Watched all 8 seasons in one month!

Well I'm caught up with season 8. It averages out to five episodes a night. Some nights we didn't watch any while other nights we watched until the sun came up. It was fun, but I'm glad the marathon is over.

It's definitely not the same without Michael; never will be. I still enjoy it. I think Andy makes a decent boss. Is Dwight leaving? That's quite a hit, so soon after Michael's exit. There's a lot of transitioning going on with the show.

So Janice, favorite episodes, favorite seasons, least favorite episodes, least favorite seasons?

Over at IMDB most people are complaining that the show pretty much dipped in quality beginning with (some say) season 4 (others say season 5, though the general feeling is from season 6 on). Do you think the show has dipped in quality and at what point?

I personally, don't think it's drastic quality dipping. I like all the seasons. I guess that makes me an Office fanboy, lol.

Adam, for some reason, I don't have the ability to differeniate between the seasons the way most people, like you, can do. I can determine a general sense, but that's it. I'm pretty sure that Jim proposed to Pam at the end of Season 6, and they married in Season 7?

If I'm told that something happened in a certain season or a character leaves, such as Diane Chambers leaving after Season 5 (is that right?), then I'll commit it to memory. Otherwise, the seasons just blur for me. If a season out and out JTS, I'll remember it, but if it was just an average season, no can do.

I do miss Michael, a lot. I think the show can withstand the hit. Dwight leaving would be another story.

I understand. Sometimes I'll go to the breakroom at work and "That '70s Show" will be on the TV. Right away I'll tell other co-workers what season it is, within seconds. I can't do that for all shows. "Roseanne" for one, is a show I can't tell you what season it is (except fpr the first and last seasons).

Jim and Pam got married early in the sixth season and yes, Diane left after season five.

Okay, how about this... what are some of your favorite story archs? I know for me, the Michael Scott Paper Company is a highlight. I also liked Jim working at the Stamford branch with Karen and Andy.

Why do you feel that way Janice? Do you feel Rainn Wilson aka Dwight was a star even with that of Carrel's? I am just curious?
