This case broke my heart. Bruno and Bobo were 2 Pacific sea lions that locals in Redondo Beach, CA used to play with and feed back in 1988. Bruno was later found on one of the docks, injured from 2 bullet shots, and died weeks later. Bobo was killed when he ate a "seal bomb", an explosive tucked inside a fish.
2 men were later arrested and tried with killing Bobo. One served time in jail and the other was fined and served community service time. Has there been any updates since this episode aired in December 1988? |

I don't believe there have been any updates. But I haven't researched it in like 3 years. Community service? What a flipping joke! Still makes me sad to this day thinking about those two *********s and how they killed two sweet, innocent, Sea Lions. :/ Disgusting!! budding serial killers hurt animals. Not normal human beings.

I grew up in Redondo Beach and this happened before I was even born. I can tell you that sea lions are still there and you can hear them at night, but never once in the time I was there (birth to nearly 18) did I see or hear about anyone feeding them with fish or getting close to them. Probably because of these a$$holes who committed the crimes and others who harass innocent animals.
