Default Kirk Cameron: Closet Gay or Bull****ter? You Decide

The year is 1968. Richard Mihous Nixon, aged 55, is elected U.S. President; the Vietnam War is in full effect; and a 24-year-old middle-school gym coach named Rob Cameron (born November 29, 1943) meets and falls in love with 17-year-old high-school Senior Barbara Bausmith (born June 8, 1950).

Before the year ends, Barbara discovers she is pregnant; as was custom at the time, upon the discovery, Rob proposed to Barbara, and they married 5 1/2 months later on June 22, 1969.

3 1/2 months later, on October 12, 1969, a blue-eyed baby boy, Kirk, is born in Los Angeles, California.

By 1974, Barbara discovered she was pregnant again; this time, a blue-eyed baby girl, Candace, was born on April 6, 1975 in Los Angeles, California.

The family of 4 settled in the San Fernando Valley neighborhood of Los Angeles, where in 1979, at the request of her friend & Cameron family neighbor Fran Rich (whose 10-year-old son, Adam, was starring on Eight Is Enough and also shared a birthday with Kirk), Barbara began taking 9-year-old Kirk & 3-year-old Candace out to auditions.

By 1982, 12-year-old Kirk & 7-year-old Candace graduated from TV Commercials to bit parts on network TV Shows; that same year, according to the December 3, 1986 issue of People Magazine, Kirk earned irreversible partial facial damage as a result of a near-fatal skiing accident.

The following year, 13-year-old Kirk made his TV series debut in a short-lived drama series called Two Marriages opposite C. Thomas Howell.

In September 1984, 14-year-old Kirk auditioned for the part of the eldest teenage son on a sitcom pilot called Growing Pains, and walked away with the job after asking his future employers, Is this a Comedy Show or What?

The pilot taped in March 1985, and Growing Pains was picked up for the Fall 1985 TV season, making its debut on the ABC Television Network on September 24, 1985 at 8 p.m.

Though ratings were low at first, after creator Neal Marlens quit in January 1986 and was replaced as show-runner by the trio of Dan Guntzelman, Mike Sullivan, & Steve Marshall, ratings climbed to #17 at the end of the rookie season; by September 1986, 16-year-old Kirk was a bona-fide teen heartthrob, but that was not enough to prevent him from going through real-life Growing Pains when cameras stopped rolling on the show.

According to his 2008 memoir Still Growing, later that year, soon after his birthday, Kirk & Candace were informed by their parents that they were getting divorced after 17 years of marriage.

During the Summer of 1987, 17-year-old Kirk was cast opposite British actor Dudley Moore in a theatrical motion picture for TriStar Pictures (now owned by Sony Entertainment) called Like Father, Like Son; during a break from filming, Kirk was invited by his then-girlfriend, aspiring actress Leanna Creel (born August 27, 1970 in Los Angeles, California), to attend the local Church where her father served as Pastor; the guest speaker that night was Dr. Chuck Swindoll.

Later that night, per Still Growing, Kirk sat in his parked car in a Van Nuys, California parking lot and asked himself, pertaining to the impending divorce of his parents, If there is a God, I NEED to Know; not long afterwards, Kirk professed Jesus Christ to be his Lord and Savior.

The film was released on October 2, 1987, a full 10 days before Kirk turned 18, and was a box office smash despite being panned by critics as a Freaky Friday knock-off.

Upon his return to the Growing Pains set, per a 700 Club Interview, Kirk stated that all the F-Bombs & practical jokes he pulled when cameras werent rolling STOPPED; that same year, in March 1987, 11-year-old Candace filmed a sitcom pilot called Full House, which debuted on September 22, 1987 on the ABC Television Network at 8 p.m. before settling into its Friday 8 p.m. timeslot.

In 1988, weeks after his character Mike Seaver graduated from the fictional Thomas E. Dewey High School in Long Island, New York, 18-year-old Kirk graduated in real life from Chatsworth High School with Honors, & soon afterwards, per Still Growing, bought his first house.

The house, located in the Simi Valley neighborhood of Los Angeles, burned down soon after Kirk moved out, per Still Growing.

In 1989, just shy of turning 20, Kirk met and fell in love with aspiring actress/model Nancy Mueller (born December 4, 1963 in Buffalo, New York), who was cast as Kate MacDonald, a potential love interest of Mike Seaver--a role that soon transferred to real life for Kirk & Nancy.

On July 20, 1991, after a 2-year courtship, 21-year-old Kirk Cameron & 27-year-old Nancy Mueller were married in Nancys hometown of Buffalo, New York (ironically months after her dad, Fred, suffered a fatal heart attack, with her brother David becoming best man at the wedding).

Soon afterwards, the Growing Pains showrunners quit over an incident invovling Kirk calling them pornographers by phone to the ABC President (in Marshalls case, sadly true, as Steve pled guilty in early 2010 to posession of child pornography and earning a 7-year Prison term) and were
replaced by Dan Wilcox, with new writers, producers, & directors hired for Season 7.

In early 1992, despite the fact that the series ended at #27 out of 102 prime-time network shows that season, ABC canceled Growing Pains due to its tiredness of Kirk Cameron & his Christianity.

In the hour-long series finale telecast on April 25, 1992, the Seavers moved to Washington, D.C.

In 1995, after a 3-year break from TV Land, 25-year-old Kirk returned to TV Land via a self-titled sitcom created for him by Scott Baio that lasted 15 months on the WB TV Network.

Earlier that year, ABC canceled Full House due to its being too pricey to produce.

In the year 2000, 30-year-old Kirk officially retired from acting & began a new career as an evangelical preacher, & in 1996, after a year-long courtship, Candace, aged 21, wed 22-year-old pro Hockey player Val Bure (born June 13, 1974 in Moscow, Russia).

In 2002, months after the 9/11 tragedy, Kirk teamed up with 52-year-old author Ray Comfort, a Minister in his native New Zealand since the early 1970s, to combine their Ministries into one.

Today, at age 42, Kirk & Nancy are the proud parents of 6 children, 4 adopted and 2 biological.

Candace & Val are the proud parents of 3 children ages 10, 12 & 13 and live in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Personally, I USED to think and believe, like the majority of you, that Kirk & Candace were both born in 1970 and 1976, respectively; however, the E! True Hollywood Story (where ALL info comes from unless otherwise noted) told me differently via obvious evidences, including Evidence #1: Kirk graduating high school in 1988; you see, in prior generations, the high-school grad age was different depending on where you lived (usually no younger than 16), but according to reputable research, after the Kennedy murder in 1963, one of the first things Lyndon B. Johnson did after being sworn in office was sign into law a law that stated, effective the Fall 1965 American Public School curriculum, those who were born in 1965 up after September 1 would be cut off into the next grade. Case in point: I was born on December 9, 1984. Had I been born August 9, 1984, I would have graduated high school 10 years ago, but since I was born December 9, I graduated in 2003.

Likewise with Kirk & Candace Cameron, who as I stated earlier were both born in 1969 and 1975, respectively, having graduated in 1988 and 1993.

i am not being rude, just once again stating the FACT that just because YOU graduated and entered school at a certain age doesn't mean anyone else did; that is not how FACTS or even sound logical reasoning works - FACTS are from known, provable and verifiable evidence, you are just creating false information based on conjecture and claiming it to be facts.

it doesn't matter how many times you leave and then sign up under a different name, you can not make your suspicions or guesses into FACTS.

Agreed. The burden of proof is on you, not us. In all your years of trying to convince people that Kirk Cameron is lying about his age, have you successfully converted one person?

I think the final episode was ranked about #27 but that's about it. For most of the season GP was near the bottom of the ratings mainly because it had been moved to Saturday night.

According to Wikipedia, Growing Pains ranked #75 in the Nielsen ratings that final season. Or maybe that's just another one of 42-year-old Kirk Cameron's filthy lies!

The original poster is just using the current controversy about Kirk Cameron to spread his "message" that Kirk Cameron is really a year older than he says he is. This is easily his tenth screen name.

professional nutcase isn't really much of a career

Alan Thick has been on tons of shows recently including How I Met Your Mother and I'm In The Band just off the top of my head and wasn't Tracey Gold just in a few different series just recently?

the ONLY way Kirk Cameron can get on TV anymore is by spouting a bunch of ridiculous controversial nonsense or waiting for the next Growing Pains reunion

Yes, she was. She is also out there as an awareness advocate for eating disorders. I saw her on TV just the other night. Certainly much more admirable than the person who this topic was created for.

Okay...I didn't know Thicke and Gold were STILL doing stuff and I also don't agree on Kirk 100%.

But I feel this may be a "Growing Pains" Reunion....

A while back I was having a conversion with a friend about how in school my late summer birthday made me one of the youngest kids in my class. I recall her mentioning that the cutoff date in California where she started school was sometime in December.
If that's true, Kirk Cameron was born on 10/12/70 and probably started elementary school in 1976 at age 5 and 10 months.

CASE CLOSED!!!
