TV Norman Reedus Previews "Walking Dead" Season 3

"The Walking Dead" Season 3: Star Norman Reedus Teases Bloodshed, Massacre And New Arrivals (VIDEO)
3/2/12

There are only three episodes left in Season 2 of "The Walking Dead", but there's a lot to fit in before we say goodbye to our zombie apocalypse survivors until Season 3.

Several character deaths have been teased, and things have really heated up the past few episodes. Star Norman Reedus -- a.k.a. tough-as-nails survivor Daryl Dixon -- assured HuffPost TV that these final episodes of Season 2 are seriously action-packed.

"The rest of the season is going to be all fireworks. I know some fans... I saw Dave Navarro on 'Talking Dead' going 'More Zombies, Less Talk!'. Well that's what happening next, much more zombie action."

But don't expect Daryl to go anywhere: Reedus admitted that he's already been in talks with producers about where things are headed in Season 3, so it sounds like he's sticking around for a while longer.

"I just got the pitch for Season 3 and I sort of know where we are heading and it's going to be amazing. It will blow people away so stay tuned."

There are a lot of question marks, but what's up with Daryl wielding a gun this week?

"Daryl hasn't traded in his crossbow for that revolver, um he has both. The pistol that I'm holding is part of the storyline for that episode."

Who would he leave behind if he was in charge of the group?

"Would Daryl leave anyone behind? um... I work with these people so I can't tell you that. No, there's safety in numbers and I appreciate all of the people in the group for different reasons. Shane's a hothead, but he's a tough hothead.

Lots of people cause problems on the show, but I wouldn't leave them behind.
"

And what would his plan of action be?

"If Daryl was leaving the group, I mean this is what I would do, I would hold fort in some skyscraper and then slowly clear out the building. If there were any military coming it would be a very easy spot to be picked up from.

Or I would just go on a cruise ship.
"

Reedus also teased the arrival of The Governor and Michonne, the ass-kicking female that fans of the comic book series have been waiting to see onscreen.

"We did just cast The Governor and he's an awesome actor.

I have heard rumors that Michonne will maybe be showing up... I can't really tell you anything. A lot of actresses would be good for the role, but I would probably choose Zoe Saldana. It's a very dark, sexy and badass character.

I know where Michonne goes from reading the graphic novels and talking with Rob Kirkman, she's very badass. It would have to be smart casting for sure.
