Eek Shows that are sooooo bad...that they're actually good!

That...or they're the shows you'll watch as a secret shame.

There are many shows like this, like these...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdVFmjYe9Pc
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmgIXH4Bp9g

I've even heard that many Televangelist shows are bad, but I like a few.

Hmm... Well "Facts of Life" is actually considered a decent show by many- although not my favorite- Blair was nice to look at... Even as a young boy, I knew that...

I consider Facts of Life more of a "Drama-dy" than a true sit com. It got awful serious some times. I agree about the other 2 shows. They are kinda camp.

Some people say "Mama's Family" is a bad show, but I think it was hiilarious, and many people just don't get it. But it was funny and had really good actors in it. I guess people are afraid to like it. I dont include it here.

I hope I dont offend anyone here- But Three's Company is a pretty low rent show, but its so bad its good to me.

Does anybody remember "The Pruitts Of Southampton"? It only lasted about half a season, before it was revamped , becoming "The Phyllis Diller Show". "Pruitts" revolved around a rich family who lose all their money, but somehow manage to fake that they are still wealthy. The show was so bad it was good, but I remember it most for its opening theme, which was Phyllis Diller in all her glory.

Full House was always ridiculed for being too sappy but I like it! Especially Uncle Jesse.

I was never around when it was on, but yes...I know the theme.

And does anyone remember "Saved by the Bell" or "Growing Pains"?

I've heard that My Mother the Car was likably horrible! Never seen it, though.

I have to admit it - I'm counting The Brady Bunch Variety Hour in this category.

The Gong Show, both the original and the 80's revival. The third revival on GSN however, was so bad it was bad.

To me, a "bad" TV show is simply unwatchable. By bad I mean it has any combination of the following traits: cheesy, over the top, bad acting, or pretty low production values. Life's too short to immerse myself into hours upon hours of poor television.

However movies that fall under the umbrella of crapdom are great fun to watch every now and then. Leave your brain at the door for 90 minutes of sillyness then move on with your life. But committing to viewing a whole series that is subpar - I just couldn't do it. So personally, I wouldn't say any television show I watch regularly is "bad." They all must possess some sort of charm to keep me coming back again and again.
