TV Linda Lavin "Alice" in S1 "The Shower"

Did anyone notice "Alice" in this ep of Rhoda? She was the b---- from Rhoda's high school class. She plays a nasty character, but it was good seeing her. I don't remember ever seeing this when I watched the show back in the day.

Yes "The Shower" is one of my favourite episodes,I still have it on vhs unedited, sadly its one of the many episodes, edited on the season1 DVD.

Some of the chat between Brenda and Rhoda -as they're having an early breakfeast- is cut and there's dialogue between Rhoda and Joe discussing trying out a new bed,is cut out too.

Linda Lavin is great in this as are,the regular cast and Barbara Sharma as Mryna and Beverley Sanders as Susie.

Linda Lavin also guests in a very good season 1 episode of "Phyllis".

Its called "Widows,Merry and Otherwise".

Always liked Linda in Alice. Would love to see "Phyllis" come out on DVD, Cloris Leachman is also a fave of mine, I have watched her in a couple eps of "Alfred Hitchcock Presents", and saw her recently in Boris Karloff's "Thriller" episode, and loved her in that. Any info on what Linda or Cloris are up to these days? Anyone?

I so agree about Phyllis on DVD,ok it wasn't the success Rhoda was and

the character of Phyllis was dumbed down in the spinoff but it was funny.

Cloris is on Facebook and Twitter, her last work was in the 2011 film

"Lemonade Mouth" film, always seems to be on the go.

Linda Lavin plays Sharin in the new movie ""Wanderlust",starring Jennifer

Aniston.

Linda alledgedly didn't get on with "Alice" stars Polly Holliday who played Flo

on the show and Diane Ladd, who played Belle,Flo's replacement.(Ladd played Flo in the "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore" movie)

Here's an article on Linda from 2011:

Phyllis being seen on DVD is slim since it's was a short-lived show. What sitcom from the 70's that lasted one season is out on DVD?

"Phyllis" & "Flo" probably won't make it to DVD, but you never know.
There are some obscure TV shows that I never dreamed would make it to DVD, and I now have them. They can't even get some totally mainstream shows that were hits, and on for many seasons on DVD, examples that I can think of are: Maude, only 1 season released, fans are still waiting for season 2 now going on 6 or 7 years! Mama's Family, another mainstream show on for many seasons, 1 season released and still waiting. Barnaby Jones is another one that was on TV for eons, and has a loyal dedicated fan base, they can only release 1 season, sheesh.

Since Alice will never released on DVD due to music issues, we will never see Flo. And plus I see enough of Flo from the 1 episode I received in the mail 6 years ago and it was horrible.

Oh, I totally agree, never really watched "Flo" just knew it was out there.
She was funny as Florence Castleberry on Alice, but probably jumped the gun on her own sitcom based on that character. I watched the series opening on Utube, and it looks really bad.
