Get Smart on MeTV - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I have been a fan of Get Smart for years and just started watching the reruns on MeTV. One thing I noticed when watching last night's episodes was that the familiar theme music sounded like it was speeded up. Is it something MeTV did and did anybody notice it?

I haven't noticed that for Get Smart but it's possible. I'll get back to you the next time it's on. ME occasionally does some speeding up -- sometimes their Gunsmoke opening is noticably faster that it should be.

Apparently a lot of the older shows of the 25 minute mark are being sped up by some broadcasters to avoid the cutting of scenes from the show for more ads.
I'd rather that than pieces of the show missing.

I caught an episode today -- the opening was most definitely sped up. Closing seemed OK though.
