Hi! If we don't want to trade, or if no one has anything we want to trade for, are we allowed to sell videos here? I have lots of copies of THE MAN FROM UNCLE (some which I got from other traders, and some which I copied myself from TV -- but I believe they are now in Public Domain). I also have some Krofft shows that were never put out on video (certain Bigfoot and Wildboy and Dr. Shrinker episodes). I believe these are also in the Public Domain.
Anyway, could someone please let me know the rules? The only tapes I'm looking for right now are certain episodes of "Bigfoot and Wildboy". Unfortunately, most of these were never released on tape, so I'd probably have to find someone who just happened to tape them 25 years ago. I'd appreciate any help. THANKS! T. R. poohbear@wctc.net |

Anyone is allowed to sell their time, if it takes you time to make someone a tape, then you can charge for that. The episodes or footage is free, they are paying for your time, tape, and shipping. No mega market has copyrights on our personal time. Even if that wasn't the case (which it is), then we are still protected by the 4th amendmant. There are literally hundreds of thousands of people openly doing this on the internet, as long as it is an open practice, then no one person can be singled out, and if you were, any half-brain lawyer could win your case with your defense being "equal protection of the law", if you single out one person, then you must get them all.
Example: If 5 people are speeding down the street, the police can not legally stop one and give him a ticket without getting the other four. If they do give the ticket to one, and not the others, then they are actually breaking the law. Most law enforcement do not have the education to understand that, so if your ever challenged on this subject, then hold your ground, and remember that you can get that officer laughed out of his own county courthouse, as long as their procedures are not following the constitution, and if you were threatened for selling tapes, then "equal protection of the law' would not have been followed. |
