Default Trouble and DS

I don't know how many other UK DS fans there are here (I think it's possible that myself and Jethro are the only ones!) but I'm getting pretty annoyed about how Trouble are advertising DS.

For those who do not know, they do it by making fun of Gary Coleman, going on and how about how he lost his fortune, beat up a fan, and works as a security guard. I don't think that's very smart, since they should be making the show and it's cast look POSITIVE rather than negitive. I think I might send them an email about it...

I had already posted up a subject on Trouble's message board complaining about it and I was going to E-Mail them directly.

The last straw came a couple of days ago- they normally put up "What U Talkin Bout" in big letters before it starts but now they've started to put up "Security guard"

I don't see why Troulble advertise in this way because it's not going to encourage anyone who hasn't seen it to watch it and it is also really unfair to Gary Coleman.

I am not sure of Trouble's email address, but I'll go to their website and look it up. When I find it, I'll post it on here so that anyone who wants to compain to them can. I feel pretty sorry for Gary and Trouble are really out of order for being so mean about him. And it's hardly a good way to promote the programme is it? What will they do next? Slam Todd Bridges? Or worse, poor Dana Plato? If they do that then I really will get very angry.

Trouble is a bad channel anyway. The only time I watch it is when DS is on. The presenters are annoying and childish, the only shows they air are crappy teen sitcoms like 'Hang Time', 'Saved By The Bell: The New Class', 'One World' and 'Malibu'. Urgh.

Each time I have written to Trouble this is the E-Mail address that has responded-

TV_Direct_Bristol@flextech.co.uk so that will probably be the best to use.

I agree that some of the shows on Trouble really suck, have you seen that Cruel Winter crap? I hate all those Teenie sitcoms like Hang Time, One World and Malibu.

Urgh, I hate Cruel Winter. I've only seen a few clips of it - I always change channels whenever it comes on because I hate it so much. It's just a cheap, badly done rip off of good shows like Survivor and Boot Camp. And where on Earth do they find those horrid contestants? Nope, the only show I go out of my way to watch on Trouble is Diff'rent Strokes. It's the only show that they air which is A) Brilliant and B)Doesn't give me a headach or make me want to vomit!

It's really annoying that Trouble will be going back to repeats starting on I think February 14th. They will be starting back at the start of series 3.

I'm going to keep E-Mail Trouble and keep asking them to show the final 3 seasons.

Some episodes they showed last week were really bad, I HATED the Shoot Out at the ok Arcade episode. Last night's one was good with Dudley trying to get Lisa.

Default Trouble email

I emailed to the trouble address. I received an email from Carolyn Ball the press officer. She said she would look into it. She asked that I specify if the promos are on air, press or what not. Since I haven't seen them would you all please fill me in so I can reply accurately. Any other information that you think would help, please post also.

I'm going to write to them tommorow to, if quite a fe of us write I'm sure they'll stop showing the trailers. I'm also really annoyed at Trouble for cancelling tonight's episode to show a repeat AGAIN!

The specific information featured would be just how they are making all negative points about Gary Coleman, constantly going on about how he is now a security guard.
One of the main points that annoys me is they show frames of Gary in a sort of sad face in black and white and say things like "swindled out of millions" and things like that.
They also say "watch Gary Coleman when he was a god"

I bet the idiots who planned these ads have never achieved anything so I don't even know how the can take the mick out of someone else.

Murray Buchan of Flextech (Trouble TV) emailed me about the Gary Coleman promos. He wrote that the promos don't set out to insult Gary Coleman, in fact the promos remember a time when he was a very popular character on the sitcom. He wrote thatat no point is Trouble rude about him and he can assure me that no offense was meant. Murray Buchan said they have had no complaints from anyone who has actually seen the promos and what is on them is well documented in the public domain. - Transalation - They're not humiliating Gary Coleman anymore then he's already been humiliated.
I will be sending a reply.

That's a really stupid reply from them, I don't know if they'll admit they're wrong. That also must be a lie by them saying they haven't recieved any complaints from people who have seen them since Sitcomchick already wrote to them.

I just wrote them a long E-Mail so I'll post up the reply if I get it.

It doesn't matter what Trouble think they are doing. Whether they will admit it or not they ARE humiliating Gary. The poor guy has been through enough already, without some stupid tv channel making fun of him even more. Maybe if we all shower Trouble with emails they will actually listen to us and take notice of how we feel about this.

I haven't watched Trouble much this last week but I haven't seen the Gary Coleman advert once, so it looks like they maybe did listen to us and take it off, even though Trouble never mailed me back.

Wink

That's good news Jethro. Just last night I was thinking to ask you about that. I'm at a disadvantage here; no Trouble in America. I wish that were true... I hope you're right. Update us after awhile.
Thanks

Happy birthday to Gary Coleman!

I don't get Trouble. I love Survivor. I also liked Boot Camp. I was just curious what is Cruel Winter? What is it about? Why are the contestants horrid? I'll just take your word because I don't get Trouble. I have never seen Cruel Winter either.
