A Honeymooners President’s Day skit:
(Ralph is meeting Ed at a mall.) Ralph: “Where is that Norton?” (Ed comes in dressed like George Washington. Ralph doesn’t see him.) Ed (disguising his voice): “Hello sir!” (Ralph turns around.) Ralph (scared, yells): “WHOOOOAAAA!” (Ed takes off the mask.) Ed: “It’s me Norton. I thought I would get dressed for the holiday.” Ralph: “You are a mental case.” Ed: “You should have seen my fellow sewerworkers. They were laughing when I wore this costume on the job.” Ralph: “Yeah, they were laughing AT you. Come on Norton. We got take advantage of the President Day sales. After all, there are sales on DVDs that I want to take advantage of.” Ed: “Me too. I want to buy the another season of Spongebob Squarepants.” (Ralph rolls his eyes.) Ralph: “I am glad that they designated this day for our Presidents. I wonder what Barack is going to do especially considerting that this could be his last Presidents Day unless his job approval ratings go sky high.” Ed: “I bet he probably got some gifts as well as going to be eating a lot. I bet his daughters love staying at that house. It’s like living in a castle for free.” Ralph: “Yeah. Hahahahaha! The Presidents deserve a special day. Most of them did us proud like George Washington. I wonder what he would think of Barack Obama.” Ed: “He probably would like him.” Ralph: “You are probably right. I don’t think he would like George W. Bush.” Ed: “Few people like him.” Ralph: “Like I said, the Presidents of this country deserve a special day.” (They both sing a song about the U.S. Presidents.) (Jackie Gleason walks on stage. Audience applauds.) Jackie: “Thank you. GOOD NIGHT.” (Audience cheers.) |
