Zorro Reborn: Gael Garcia Bernal Set To Play Swashbuckler In Upcoming Feature
2/17/12 Meet your newest masked swashbuckler, Gael Garcia Bernal. According to Variety, the actor has been cast as Zorro for the upcoming movie, Zorro Reborn. Although details surrounding the project are scarce, it will be written as a futuristic reboot (no word on whether "futuristic" means present-day or the year 3000), separating it from the Antonio Banderas Zorro movies. Bernal is relatively unknown to mainstream American audiences. His credits include Y Tu Mamá También, The Motorcycle Diaries and Babel.
