Question What's with Shouts LIMITED picture choices?

What's wrong with Shout Factory's photo selection? They seem to only use Hazel photos that were ALREADY used for the Season 1 set. From the cake picture for S.2 to the Hazel and the roses picture for the S.3 set, all these photos were used in the S.1 set. Now I have seen many different pictures of Hazel and the entire cast over the years, I know there are more photo choices other than those already used in Season 1's set. Why can't Shout show a little creativity and pick a picture of Hazel & CAST too that hasn't already been used?? Seems only natural to use pictures that have NOT been used already. It's not like Hazel only had 3 publicity shots made. There must be dozens to choose from.

Actually, I like the photos they chose for seasons 2 and 3 even if they have been used before. What's more of a concern for me is that I hope Shout! Factory will definitely add the dancing sticks logo to the end of each season 3 episode. Someone else on this board enlightened me that they are used during season 3 and not season 2.

Also, wish Shout! could have included some of the sponsor commercials with the cast for Ford cars as they were the primary sponsor and there were several of these car commercials made.

I don't know the answer to your question. I would like to see different photos, too.
However, Brian Ward, one of the producers at the Shout Factory Community Board, addressed a similar question when the Dennis the Menace set was released that might explain why.
One of the fans was unhappy with the photo on the cover.
Mr. Ward said that the studio provides Shout with the photos. Sometimes, very few HIGH-RES images for a show still exist. Those that do exist require large licenses for the photography, as a lot of it is not owned by the studio, but rather by Getty or the photographers themselves.
Most photographs are NOT public domain, and are not immediately available in 300dpi.

I'm more interested in the lack of laugh track (so far).. I can only assume the pics chosen already have been paid for the license.

It could be worse--it could be like Family Affair's 5 seasons from MPI--the same cast photo used on all the sets with only a different color background to distinguish them.
