Who Knew? 'The Simpsons' "Comic Book Guy" Has A Real Name?!
Did you know the Comic Book Guy on The Simpsons has a name? It’s Jeff Albertson. But that wasn’t the decision of creator Matt Groening. “I was out of the room when [the writers] named him,” he told MTV in 2007. “In my mind, ‘Louis Lane’ was his name, and he was obsessed and tormented by Lois Lane.”

Funny timing, I just saw the episode where he reveals his name two weeks ago (even though it happened in 2005). The episode was "Homer and Ned's Hail Mary Pass". I just happened to catch the episode in syndication on Super Bowl Sunday, I'd never read online or anything that he had a name, let alone that it'd been revealed.
