Default Tacos

Do you like them, soft or hard shell? What do you like on them? I made tacos the other night for dinner. I hadn't made them in over 20 years. I don't eat them because they're not sold in the restaurants we go to.

I bought the Ortega corn hard shells, the kind that go in the oven for five minutes. I cooked ground sirloin and added the taco seasoning. I topped the tacos with a mixture I bought off the salad bar in the grocery store. It had chopped tomatoes, onions and corn and black beans. Shredded lettuce and cheese....I had salsa already, but got a jar of guacamole.

They were really good. Something nice and easy to make for dinner.

I do like tacos, I'll have them once every wednesday evenings when I go to Celebrate Recovery.

I wouldn't mind having my own taco night, and I prefer the soft taco shells rather than the hard taco shells.

I prefer the hard shells.

I like using chili in my tacos. I either get the cans from the store or take-out from a restaurant. The chili usually has the beans included so that's taken care of.

Then I use melted cheese, lettuce, and sour cream.

I'm not into salsa and guacamole.

I love tacos...definitely prefer the hard shells! I make them all the time because my family loves them as well and kids can pretty much add whatever toppings they want and it makes everyone happy.

we make them pretty often - both hard and soft shell, I mix up the toppings and usually make some sides to gowith them

the Stand 'n Stuff taco shells are the only way to go for the hard shells

I love tacos. I do like soft shells, but I prefer hard shells. Recently, I've really been enjoying wonton taco shells.

I like tacos. I like both the hard shell and the soft (flour) tortillas. I don't like the corn tortillas. I like ground beef, shredded lettuce and shredded cheese on tacos.

It sounds like you had a nice dinner Janice.

They aren't sold in restaurants there? *picks chin up off floor*

I'm sure they are, but not in the restaurants we frequent, I don't think. We go to places like Outback, Chinese, Italian and seafood eateries. Also, I've never been crazy over tacos, so even if they were on the menu, I don't think I would order them. I don't get to eat out as often as I used to, so I wouldn't get them.

Oh ok. I misunderstood. I thought you meant in general there weren't tacos there. Thanks for clarifying it for me.

I love Tacos and prefer the hard shells but I will eat the soft shells. Theyre much better when made at home but we do eat at Taco Bell a few times a month.

There are few things in life better than a freshly prepared corn tortilla, carne asada taco, topped with cilantro and a hint of lime. Maybe a little salsa for taste. I usually hold the onions on mine.

The only problem is that the best tacos usually come from seedy joints or taco trucks, and you risk getting some form of terrible food poisoning, but man are they ever good.

I like the Taco Bell hard shell tacos, with mild or medium taco sauce, or just as is. Just thinking about crunching into one makes me hungry.

I also like the tacos from Jack-in-the-Box, somewhat different flavor, which are crunchy around the edges, but softer where the filling is; I don't add any sauce or anything; I like them the way they are.
