Whether it be an actor in the re-creations or the actual individuals themselves, have you ever spoken to any of them? I know a few people featured on the show who have Facebook accounts but I could never bring myself to talk to them because they seem to be doing well in life, that I don't want to bother them.

I've posted it before on another thread, but I've spoken to David Shealy on several occasions. Not the kind of case that I particularly liked seeing on Unsolved Mysteries, but yes, I've met him many times. He's the "crypto-zoologist" of the Florida Everglades that was featured on the Everglades Bigfoot segment (aka Skunk-Ape). Honestly, he's a pretty normal guy, compared to the local residents. I'm at the point, where I don't even care if the legend is true... It's a good story to tell the tourists either way.
His website is www.skunkape.info if you want more info. I try to avoid Facebook as much as possible, but I assume he has a page there as well. |

I've never talked to anyone in person but back in 07, I uploaded around 60 cases to the forbidden site and eventually heard from Joyce McLain's sister Wendy, Kathy Hobbs sister, the cousin of Joe Weldon Smith's step-daughters Christy and Wendy, a high school friend of Norman Ladner and Jane Boroski.
I've also been emailing on and off with Cindy James' sister Melanie for 3 years. A classmate of mine in junior high school appeared as an actor in one of the Lost Love segments. |

I've written a couple of Unsolved Mysteries-related columns at another website and gotten E-mails from two people involved in the cases.
The first one was from the actor who played John Anglin in the Alcatraz episode. He shared some interesting anecdotes about the shoot, including how he became the victim of a unsolved-mystery-within-an-unsolved-mystery when the lady from the casting agency skipped town and disappeared before he got paid for his work! The second one was from the co-worker in the Mary Morris murders case, who used to frequent these boards several years ago and caused a lot of controversy. I learned a LOT of interesting info from him, but unfortunately, I can't talk about it here, due to the restrictions about us discussing the case on this board. |

Joyce McLain's sister Wendy thanked me for uploading the segment but mentioned she was surprised at how ignorant some of the posters comments were. I thought that was strange because I always made sure to delete any hateful comments. The cousin of Kristi and Wendy Cox saw the update of Joe Smith on my channel and asked me if I could upload the full segment because he hadn't seen it many years. Kathy Hobbs sister posted a short comment that police were investigating a suspect but left it at that. I couldn't get anything more out of her. Jane Boroski posted on this board a couple years ago and I sent her a private message thanking her for talking with us and I told her that I prayed for her over the years and hoped she was living as normal a life as possible. She wrote me back and thanked me for the note. She really is a very sweet lady. In regards to Cindy James' sister Melanie, someone posted the link to her blog on here a couple years ago so I was able to find her email address through that site. I wrote her and invited her to come here and post her thoughts which she did. We emailed back and forth about 5 times a year mostly in regards to her book which I am still waiting for. I also asked her about the rumor of Roy Makepeace going missing and she said that wasn't true. She also told me about her parents health problems and the eventual death of her father. She sent me a friend invite on facebook too. I sent a private message to Nyleen Kay Marshall's brother who made one post in the "FINDING KAY" thread but I never got a response. |

If you do a search, you'll find some old locked threads about the case from years ago that make for pretty interesting reading. |

http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=581689501 No discussion allowed unless approved by administrators of this forum. That is not only fair but is decided. I just thought I might try as it has being opened up a bit more as years pass. Maybe it can help. |

One of the kids from the lucky rock segment is on the forbidden video site somewhere. He's all grown up, and lives in Japan.
