Default Greatest Cosby Episode!

For me, there are SO Many good ones, but one of my favorites is when Cliff takes Rudy and her friends to the fancy restrauent for lunch! That is laugh till it hurts hilarious!! The lines remind me of people I know when they younger and had conniptions about eating!!!

Kenny: "Dr. Huxtable, there's sawdust in my salad!"

Cliff: "No no that's a CROUTON!"

Kenny: "What's THAT!?!?"

Cliff: Toasted bread and they cut it up in little pieces"

Kenny: "No it's not!!! I know toasted bread when I see it and this ain't it!"

Morgan: "Dr. Huxtable I can not eat olives!!"

Cliff: "There are olives in your salad did you eat any?

Morgan: "Yea, but I feel good so far!"

Beth: "Dr. Huxtable, what's this!?

Cliff: "That's a yummy beat"

Beth: I can't eat beats, it's on my list! If I eat beats, my eyes will swell shut!"

Cliff: Let's see your list, "Foods Beth must not have....BEATS! Well there they are!!"

Kenny: "Dr. Huxtable, I know that I can eat beats, but I do know THAT I'M NOT GONNA EAT KRAUTENS!!"

And the kids hate vegtables ("EEEEEWWWWW!") and won't eat duck cause it's got the face and feathers on it!!!! ("EEEEWWWWWWWWW!" and the hamburgers are big steak burgers....on toast!!!! (EEEEEEWWWWWW!")

So they go to The Circus Burger and cliff comes home with the uneaten TOAST burgers in a doggie bag and those classic balloons on his head!!! and he tells Clair his ordeal and how he will never take "little children out any place to eat again for as long as he lives!" and then Clair offers to take his balloons away and Cliff says "No no, don't take away my balloons!, These balloons cost me $125!!!"

Not only my favorite Cosby episode, but one of my favorite TV epiosdes period. A must see for anybody with little kids who are finicky eaters! But, what is the NAME of this classic episode? It's not listed by an easily identifiable name in any of the online guides or anything?

That is such a hard question. There are just so many classic moments. Some of mine are:
The Call of the Wild - when Sandra and Elvin dicide they'd rather work at a wilderness store than go back to school.
Together Again and Again and Again - when Denise decides not to return to school, and Theo comes home the very same day, unable to get a dormroom because he forgot to mail in his application.
There are just tooo many! After I watch my tapes again I'll post my ultimate favorite. It's been a while since I've seen them.

I havent seen em in years but one I remember liking is Theo wants a fancy new shirt and he pays Denise to make a new shirt for him which ends up hideous.
I also remember one where Cliff was bouncing Rudy on his knee and her little playmate who was a fat little boy jumped on Cliffs lap smiling and he tryed to give the kid a ride but the kid was so heavy...Cliffs got a pained face and the oblivious kid is smiling!!!

- The one where Clair gets on Elvin about his sexist attitude on his very first appearance where Sondra breaks up with him (again)

- The one where Clair gets her uncle's painting

- The one where Veanessa and her friends start a singing group: Loved the reaction of Clair when the girls came out in revealing outfits.

- The one where Rudy is upset because she cannot wear a certain dress to a Touching scene with her in the bedroom while "It's not Easy being Green" playing.

- The infamous Cliff and all the men being pregnant

- Loved the episode where the family is telling Theo about their part in the 1963 March on Washington.

- Cliff's 50th Birthday: The beeper scene was hilarious

- Sondra and Elvin's shocking decision to open a store.

- The Dance Mania episode.

- The Blues episode: B.B. King really lends a hand

- The episode where Clair leaves Cliff in charge and he ruins Rudy's friendships along with her history paper.

- Olivia's birthday The birthday cake attack scene

- The big bet with the Huxtable men proving how romantic they can be

- The Wretched Concert episode; Vanessa really gets it here

- A very touching episode: Gramtee's appearance

- The episode where Rudy has the nightmare where Olivia gets her way all the time

- Pam's first appearance

- The episode with John Ritter and Amy Yasbeck

- The Mr. Bostic episode: a whole lot of crying in this episode

- The Final episode

This is such a hard question to answer but here are the best episodes:

A Shirt Story
Independance Day
Slumber Party
Happy Anniversary
The Auction
A Touch of Wonder
Full House
Theo's Holiday
I Know That You Know
Call of the Wild
That's Not What I Said
Gone Fishin'
Together Again and Again
If the Dress Fits, Wear It
Birthday Blues
A Room with No View
Denise: the Saga Continues
I'm `In' With the `In' Crowd
Isn't It Romantic?
With This Ring?

There are so many great episodes but these are standouts. Generally the best episodes aired during the first 6 seasons.

I love them all, but my all time favorite is the Anniversary one where they all sing to the grandparents.

Rudy: BABY, OH BABY!

All the ones in the first season were hilarious. Also the season opening episodes for seasons 2, 5, and 6 were hilarious.

Either the one where Ruday and Vanessa had to move into the basement because they were grounded (That was hilarious when Bill was giving them lunch) or the one where Vanessa came home drunk and the family was playing the "ABC" game. And Vanessa thought they were all drinking liquor, even little Rudy! GOLD!

Default my favorites

There's so many of them, but here are some:

--the first of the two grandparents' anniversary performances. I love that face Cliff makes when he takes the high vocal, um, I mean lip sync.

--the very first show, where Theo gives that speech about how Cliff should respect him for being his son, and Cliff says, "That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard! No wonder you make D's!" Of course, there's also the most famous line of the show, which is my signature.

--Vanessa (not) meeting the Wretched. The punishment scene is classic. To say Clair flew off the handle is a slight understatement.

--the show when Cliff finally beats his dad at pinochle, with the help of his college professor.

--the World War Five episode when Rudy and Vanessa have to move into the basement.

--the prom episode when Theo and his friends try to set up the perfect prom night and it ends with disaster. Clair and Cliff have their own prom at home, with Rudy and Vanessa as overzealous chaperones.

--the episode when Russell Huxtable plays the trombone with Tito Puente and the Jazz Caravan.

There's others, but those are the ones that stick out in my mind.

The first season really has a lot of classics. The episode where Denise makes the "Gordon Gartrelle" shirt for Theo is great. But my favorite episode is probably the pilot -- the exchange between Cliff and Theo, who wants to be a "regular person" is straight out of Cosby's stand-up routine, and never fails to crack me up. I love the moment when Theo asks Cliff to just accept him the way he is, and the audience goes "awwwwww...." like a scene out of "Growing Pains". Then, Cliff says, "Theo, that is the stupidest thing I've ever heard." Hysterical.

- The one where Theo pays Denise to make him that expensive shirt and it comes out crappy

- The Pilot

- The one where it's Christmas time and Cliff wants better Father's Day presents!!

- The one where Rudy and Peter break the juicer!

- The one where there's a snake in the basement and they try to get it out without killing it!

- The one where it's Cliff's 50th birthday

- The one where all the men are pregnant

- The one where Rudy writes a fairy tale with the happy people and the mean people

- The one where Cliff is tapdancing (terribly ) with the bald man in the waiting room, and the dude keeps saying "Challange!"

- The one where Vanessa gets drunk at her friend's house and at the end they all trick Vanessa and play the alphabet game with iced tea
