Confused I have Been Hearing A Lot Of Rumors About Madonna's Halftime Show

Madonna's music sucks, it was her tribute episode that started turning me against Glee (I was a big fan of that show the 1st half of season 1).

Some performer called M.I.A. (who?) flipped the bird during the half-time show. That's all I've read - I didn't watch it, either.

NBC Apologizes for M.I.A.'s "Spontaneous" Middle Finger Gesture During Super Bowl Halftime Show
Feb 5, 2012
by Kate Stanhope

It wasn't a "wardrobe malfunction," but Super Bowl XLVI's halftime show managed to stir controversy.

M.I.A., who participated in the halftime show headlined by Madonna, flipped off millions of viewers in a blink-and-you-missed-it moment during the performance of Madonna's new single 'Give Me All Your Luvin.'

"We apologize for the inappropriate gesture that aired during halftime," NBC said in a statement. "It was a spontaneous gesture that our delay system caught late."

The NFL also issued an apology, but placed blame on NBC.

"There was a failure in NBC's delay system," the league said in a statement. "The obscene gesture in the performance was completely inappropriate, very disappointing, and we apologize to our fans."

M.I.A.'s "spontaneous gesture" will surely remind many of Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction" in 2004, which resulted in new time delays in live TV and a record $550,000 fine the FCC levied against CBS

(the fine was finally thrown out in court just last November).

MIA is a rapper/singer who's a bit political with her music. What's interesting is that she loves to badmouth Lady Gaga over her image and music, yet she dresses up in costume and performs with Madonna.

I've heard she does flip the bird in the music video for the song but apparently at rehearsal she didn't do it at all.

The real "controversy" was the fact that Madonna lip-synched the entire time. The most entertaining part was when that guy was bouncing up and down on the tight rope, every "musician" involved in the halftime show sucks.

I can't stand Madonna's music, but even she condemned this MIA idiots actions at the Superbowl. It was obviously just a cheap publicity stunt to get her name in the papers. I think it backfired though. Judging by the criticism, I don't think she'll be selling many albums anytime soon. atleast with Janet, guys got a little tna to go with their beer and football, all this moron did is piss people off.
