hi does anyone know if that song was written especially for cheers,,since hearing the full song i am beganing to think that it probably wasn,t see after listening closely it doesn,t sound like it is realated to cheers,the lyrics seem to be written about something else,but it could just be me,am i dilosiaonal here now or was that song written for something else other than cheers

yes, the theme was. as a matter of fact that was the fourth song they wrote for cheers.. and that one just worked.. they realeased a 45 of it.. and they talk about it on the jay leno special where theyre all drunk.. gary portonoy and the co-writer sing it live in front of the crowd and the whole cheers gang is their *drunk* singing it.. its cute

yea, but they were never aired... "W.E.K.Y.K" was the only one that fit..

The Song used on Cheers was actually shortened. The entire song is about 3 or 4 minutes long, and its really weird.
