lol. This video would scare my former government teacher. I took government in 12th grade. I remember he told my class that "if we ever saw Jay Leno to run in the other direction." Does Jay Leno still do his Jay walking segments where he asks people questions? It's sad that those students didn't know the answers.

This is no different than Jaywalking (which includes all ages; so, it's not just the youth) and as with Jaywalking, this handful of students is not a representation of all of America's youth. To be honest, I didn't think of the United States when he asked them to name a country starting with a u. I think it's just natural, when asked about a country, that you would think of countries other than the one you are living in. But, yes, many of the responses were ridiculous.
