Default LETS START A FACEBOOK & TV LAND PETITION TO BRING BACK A NEW THREE'S COMPANY!

Saw this on another message board and I think it's a great idea! We should all contact TVLand and suggest it and also start a facebook petition to bring back this show for the 21st century!

Quote:
With Joyce DeWitt & Suzanne Somers finally burying the hatchet after all these years and how great was it to see them both back on TV for their reunion? We thought how exciting & wonderful it would be to see a new reboot of Three's Company!
They did it with 90210 Beverly Hills and they are bringing back some of the old cast for the new Dallas reboot, so it could easily be done with Three's Company! This is the perfect time!!
The new show could have Janet & Chrissy reuniting in 2012 and moving back into their old apartment after Jack Tripper's son played by either Jason Ritter or Sean Hayes from (Will & Grace) is looking for two new roommates to share his apartment. With the economy being the way it is, Janet now widowed has lost her flower shop that she bought years ago and Chrissy now divorced and without a job need a new place to live and find out that their old apartment is still available after attending the funeral of Jack Tripper. The two women find low paying jobs and settle with living with Jack Tripper Jr. Larry still lives in the building and Lana is now the new Landlord. Cindy, Terri and some of old popular past guest stars can all make new guest appearances. A blessing for out of work TV Land actors. If they can put Dallas & Fran Drescher back on TV and shows like Hot Cleavland on TV Land are a hit, then we don't see how a new Three's Company reboot wouldn't work. This could only work if Suzanne & Joyce are both involved! Everyone reading this, lets start a facebook petition to bring back Three's Company! Lets also contact TV Land and pitch the idea! With the way the world is today, we can certainly use a new Three's Company! Thanks.

Yea I agree. I like Jason but he's no John. They'd have to kill Jack Tripper off probably. It's better to leave things as they are. I'd rather remember the whole cast young and alive.

I'd rather the whole cast get together for a retrospective or a gathering at the TV Land Awards show or something like that.

No one said Jason would play Jack Tripper (it's just an idea someone thought of). And I don't think he would either. I think a stage revival (like on Broadway) is more likely to happen than an actual TV series/movie. I think that would work best.

TV retrospective or a reunion at the TV Land Awards is probably the only thing we'll see on TV regarding the show. And that's a good thing.

I like that idea too!

Plus Larry is all gray now and looks like a grandpa! I can't imagine grandpa Larry!

If they did a reboot with Joyce, Suzanne and the remaining cast and throw in a talented actor who could play Jack Tripper Jr., I personally don't think it would bomb because even though John would be missed, the show could still possibly work. We can all agree that John was talented and can never be replaced but it's a fact that he couldn't even carry Three's A Crowd by himself! The show was an ensemble from the get go and that's why there would be a need for someone to play Jack Tripper's son to carry on the legacy. Jason would be the best choice since he's the nest best thing to his father, but talent wise, I would cast Sean Hayes! And even if the people who now run NRW didn't want to do a reboot which I think they could easily convince the powers that be at TV Land to green light a pilot, I would still settle for Joyce, Suzanne, Richard, Ann, Jenilee & Priscilla playing their legendary characters as guest stars on a show like Two & A 1/2 Men, the same way the casts for Gilligan's Island & The Brady Bunch did on shows like Alf, Roseanne and Day By Day.
A TV retrospective or a reunion on the TV Land Awards would be great but not as exciting as seeing them playing their iconic characters one last time!

Thumbs down

I don't think it'd be a good idea.it'd be better off just keeping the memories of the classic Three's Company.CW have done new versions of 90210 & Melrose Place.the new Melrose Place bombed after less than a season while the new 90210 may be successfull, but the show has gone downhill after almost 4 seasons.so a new Three's Company series wouldn't be a good idea.

KILL IT WITH FIRE.

Leave this show alone. All reboots suck nards. Jason Ritter or SEAN HAYES? lol dear sweet God. I love Sean Hayes, but no. He's too old to be "Jack"'s son anyway. And just because Jason is John's son, why oh why is he always suggested to be the new Jack Tripper? That's not how it works. Jason is a very different kind of actor than John was.

Joyce doesn't seem interested in TV, Suzanne is busy with products and books and youtube shows, so...no. lol what blowhard came up with that plot anyway? Even if something like this were done, that plot is just awful. Just leave it alone.

Have Jason Ritter be Jack and Janet's love child!

This way everyone who wanted Jack and Janet to get together can have their wish albeit very belated!!

Just NO, Def not, Nothing will ever compare to the Original Three's Company. sorry but that's how I feel, I would be soo mad to see another actress replace Joyce Dewitt as Janet or any other for that matter.

I agree! Forget it! Jack Tripper is one of a kind and grandma Janet and Chrissy is not appealing!

I don't think it will be a good idea either. I think the reason Dallas worked a second time was because JR was still alive and I believe , I think, in the past season, they were struggling with ratings. I would love for them to do a special like MASH did on their 30th anniversary in 2002.

There is no TC without the crazy antics of Jack Tripper!

If he were here do it! Since he's not forget it!
