Alternate Ending

Well, I've been reading through some of the old topics and figured instead of bumping them up, I'd try and start a new topic. (hope this hasn't been done before.)

If the show had in fact ended with a wedding between Harry and Christine how do you think it would have played out?

I could probably come up with hundreds of different ways! But the one in my head now...

I think it would have happened after the kiss in Central Park. Instead them staying just friends in the Phantom episode. In my opinion, they could have made season 9 a lot more interesting if they had kept them together. The issure with them being a judge and a lawyer came up in Her Honor so I would imagine that they could work that into it. The season could have been centered around them trying to make their relationship work and then mid-way or close to the end of the season/series have Harry propose to Christine in Central Park (the same spot where they kissed) then the rest of the episodes leading up to the finale be about the wedding planning etc. Of course the finale would then be their wedding.

Any way you slice it, the bungling of season 9 will forever go down in the annals of horrific finishes to brilliant shows (much like what I've heard about Seinfeld and Roseanne). According to Markie on Arsenio, the NC movie was being written, huge life changes for all characters, Dan becomes a priest, Harry and Christine end up together, Roz becomes a boxer, Mac goes into film (one of the few they actually left in, along with Bull goes to Jupiter).

I can't imagine being on the set after so many amazing seasons and actually having to act out the dreadful scripts they were getting. Some of the cast has admitted it was more money over substance.
