Susan Sarandon to Play Cancer Survivor on "The Big C"
Jan 30, 2012 by Kate Stanhope Susan Sarandon is joining "The Big C" for the Showtime comedy's upcoming third season, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The Oscar winner, 65, will play Joy, a cancer survivor who is using her unique experience to inspire others. "She's another cancer survivor who has used her cancer experience in a unique way trying to inspire other people," creator and executive producer Darlene Hunt tells the magazine.
