Default The 5th anniversary is slowing approaching for this show which is......

"the worst moment for this show in syndication history"

April 2007........"When watching Alice on ION you would see the show go to a commercial break while Alice or someone was in a middle of sentence"

OH the memories-LOL Middle school editing

I don't think Alice in syndication has ever recovered. LOL

LMAO..Brian it's pretty bad when I didn't even want to record the episodes. The combination of the horrible quality and horrendous cuts was just a bad memory LOL

The TNN epsiodes aren't that bad, while they were sped up, they only cut about a minute or so from each episode.

It doesn't matter if it was a minute or so which is still false because they cut more than that, it was that TNN would go to a commercial when a character was still talking.

Oh, yes - Memories.
For the heck of it, I looked through past threads about the ION run, going from "shiny glimmer of hope" to "Stick a fork in it, it's done". Here are links to some of them:

"Isn't this starting on the i/PAX soon?"
"Vote for Alice to be on ION (formerly I/Pax)"
"ALICE ON ION-Oh good!"
"Coming to the i (aka PAX TV)!"
"Just would like to know who will be watching on ION in April?"
"APRIL 2nd On ION "Pilot"

So, the long-anticipated first ION broadcast finally airs - and trouble starts to brew.
"After Watching Alice on ION tonight, I appreciate N@N a lot more now-lol"

ION did manage - at first, anyway - to bring up memories of some much-beloved episodes.
"I just discovered Ion today"
"Solomon, what episodes do you look forward to watching?"

But the inevitable couldn't be ignored for long.
"I'm trying to decide should I continue Recording Alice on ION" (At first, there were still some people with the "It's better than nothing" attitude.)
"ION really does chop the show up pretty bad"
"I guess the episode "The Hex", was HEXED by ION?! LOL"
"Why the heck was Flo so upset when her ex husband Langley..."
"Hey Brian I turned off tonight's episode because it was just too STUPID" (The discussion about ION in this thread occured in page 2, when I commented on how "well" one of ION's commercials went with this episode.)
"Another BUTCHER job by Ion!" (Where were the "better than nothing-ites" now?)
"An Obvious EDIT in the episode-'That Old Black Magic'"
"Some thoughts about the George Burns episode"
"Cuts on 'Close Encounters of the Worst Kind'"
"A question about tonight's edit"
"The main problem I see with the show so far is the LIGHTING"
"Scenes cut from 'Take Him, He's Yours'"

"The First Reprieve" (ION takes "Alice" off the first time)
"Leaving ION Effective June 25, 2007"
"Is anyone still watching Alice knowing that it's coming to an end on the 22nd of June"
"When is Alice is going to be back on after that show left ION Television?"

"ION Strikes Back"
"Returns to ION Television on November 26"
"Why doesn't ION show Alice on Friday evenings?"
"ION now shrinking Alice's credits"
"Alice's UFO" (Jude makes a prophetic prediction. Other than cutting out after showing some of the last few episodes, but not others, yeah.)
"Reminder: Mel is Hogg-Tied on Wed March 5th 7pm"

Again, the inevitable couldn't be ignored for long.
"Alice ending 4/3/08 on ION?"
"Only 4 episodes left Everyone which means to removal of Alice Countdown is ON!-lol"
"ion is horrible anyway"

"Anybody have the missing 4 episodes from Ion's Run"
"I miss ION reruns because..."
"When did Ion stop airing Alice"

I am glad to have a few salvageable episodes from there via my DVD recorder.
To me, this was cable TV's last chance to prove something to me - and it let me down with a thud.

The eps from ION wasn't even worth keeping because not only was the editing awful, the quality was actually worst. Every episode looked like a VHS Copy that ION received from somewhere else
