The Middle Finger on TV? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I was watching Chelsea Lately and she was swearing as usual but when she went to put her middle finger up it was blurred out?. Is the middle finger a taboo thing? To me it means nothing.

Yes, it means f--- you. Chelsea Handler is vulgar and disgusting. They should blur out her mouth as well as her finger.

I do wonder just what can to said or shown on tv. I hear the cable network aren't so strict. I prefer humor to profane language. I just love to laugh. I saw the SC presidental debate and no one swore but there was sparks with Newt Ginrich. It did make me say OH MY. This isn't making me go to sleep.

Me too, because I see and hear things all the time that make me cringe. It almost as if anything is allowed nowadays!
