Default DVD Set NOT Uncut?

Is it just me or are the episodes I watch of AITF (on Antenna TV) way more complete than the episodes on DVD? I notice way more footage & deleted scenes that I have never seen before on the Antenna TV broadcast.

Yea I have often wondered about that myself, for example the episodes on the 5th season DVD are under 25 minutes, then on the 6th season DVD the episodes are over 25 minutes. So maybe the 5th season DVD has edited episodes, but I don't know for sure. The first episode on the 7th season DVD is said to have a brief clip missing at the beginning, this was discussed here in another thread. The 4th season DVD episodes are mostly over 25 minutes, but there are one or two shows that clock in under 25 minutes. For the most part, I would say the DVD episodes are uncut but it's possible some shows are not the full complete versions.

Madderest

I have DVD's Seasons 1-6. Specific episodes that I can recall recently watching on Antenna, that had scenes that I was surprised to see, and don't ever recall seeing on the DVD or any other broadcast was the Elevator episode, more dialog, & also the Subway episode had at least 4-5 small scenes that I have never seen before, & god knows I have seen these episodes countless times. There are also a few episodes with Irene Lorenzo, with scenes and dialog I have never seen anywhere except on that broadcast. Is it possible that this is a way to get more viewers to watch, that already own the DVD's (there must be millions!) I noticed the same thing with "The Waltons" DVD's and the broadcast on Hallmark. The Hallmark broadcast has so much more footage, that it really burns me up, that they would cut these crucial scenes from the DVD's, in the case of "The Waltons" it can really mess up the whole storyline. I can't tell you how angry this makes me.

With Sony, it depends on the show. They released Bewitched on DVD pretty much intact and uncut, but it seems some episodes of All In The Family and I Dream Of Jeannie are not the complete versions.

You must be comparing the antenna TV versions with TV land because its no way it seems more footage on the DVD. Those eps are cuuuuuuut-LOL

Are you sure? I can't see how it can be possible to notice scenes on Antenna TV which has local edits that are not on DVD
