Christopher Heyerdahl Joins "True Blood" *Christopher Heyerdahl Joins "True Blood" Season 5* by Ryan Turek January 18, 2012 Christopher Heyerdahl is joining "True Blood's" fifth season. The actor is going to play a vampire, familiar territory for him because he recently played a bloodsucker in the Twilight films as the Volturi named Marcus. In "True Blood", Heyerdahl is taking a recurring role as "Dieter Braun, an ancient, powerful vampire who plays a large part in the intelligence of the Authority and especially enjoys enhanced interrogation," says Deadline.
