It looks like the big hit of the 20th century is about to hit the 21st century. On April 6th 2012, Titanic will be released to the big screen again, in 3D, and it looks like Cameron's big show is already drawing allot of buzz among movie goers. Titanic has held strong since its original theatrical release in December 1997. A movie that critics originally stated would sink even faster and deeper than the ill fated ship itself. After Cameron made the critics eat their words and choke on them, he went to gross 1.8 Billion dollars worldwide with his 200 million dollar dream. Titanic has since then, found many new audiences and is soaring even higher than it did in the theaters.
Many believe that Cameron is just an opportunist; taking advantage of 3D to make a big paycheck from his super baby. But whatever the reason for Cameron's re-release of the megahit, it seems many will be reserving their 3D glasses for the ultimate ride of the ultimate film. Will you go see it? |
