I got the Barney Miller boxed set for Christmas and just watched the documentaries. WOW! I can not believe how absolutely amazing Hal and Abe look-neither of them look their ages at all. They both looked wonderful. Max didn't look too shabby either. It was kind of sad to see Steve Landesburg though. All in all it is a fantastic set!

It was incredible. I give a BIG shout-out to Shout! They really went above and beyond the call of duty.

Would you believe I've never seen Barney Miller? Nobody was airing it when I was growing up. Maybe when I get my Netflix disc subscription turned back on, I'll give it a shot.

As someone who enjoys the show, and had the good fortune to see it first hand when it orig. aired, I'm happy that a soup to nuts version has arrived. Leave it to SHOUT! Happy viewing!

I wish I could've seen it when it first aired. I was born about midway through the original run, but grew to love it in syndicated reruns and then DVD.

My only quibble is that the documentary "Inside the 12th Precinct" should have been longer and gave some screen time to Ron Carey, Gregory Sierra, Linda Lavin, James Gregory, Barbara Barrie, Florence Stanley and George Murdoch (the fantastic actor who played the Internal Affairs guy we all LOVED to hate, Lt. Ben Scanlon!). They all deserved attention too. All in all it is a fantastic set though!
I was born in 1970 so I do have some memories of seeing it first run, although I fell in love with it when it hit reruns in the 80's. I remember it was on every night from 7-8pm! I have to admit though, some of the humor went WAY over my head until I was an adult..LOL! |

It definitely would've been great to see Ron Glass, Barbara Barrie, and (OF COURSE!) Gregory Sierra. I wonder if they were even approached to participate.
