Fresh from her run on ABC’s short-lived Man Up, Teri Polo is zagging in a very different direction, with a guest-starring role on CBS’ Criminal Minds.

TVLine has learned that the actress — best known from the Meet the Parents movies — will appear in an upcoming episode as a former high school history teacher who was sent to jail after molesting one of her students. Now out of prison, “Miss Hallman” is on a mission to reunite with her young “lover” — and will kill anyone who gets in her way. Criminal Minds resumes its season this Wednesday, Jan. 18.
