I saw this case on UM, and it was one of the most bizarre that I have ever seen.
Here are the details I remember: A very wealthy older widow from the South befriends a younger (40's or 50's) man and he becomes her confidante and constant companion. He places an ad for a Chauffeur and specifies in the ad that the applicant needs to be "good looking and not overweight." (very weird requests, IMO.) The older woman and the man travel somewhere and he steals all of her money....literally clears out her bank account. The man winds up dead in a field of an apparent suicide. That's all I can recall, but it was a VERY weird case. Thank you. :-) |
