One thing people might be surprised to know about me is that I am very shy. Many people think from the way I express myself online that that must mean I am very outgoing, but that's not true. I have gotten better, but I've always stayed in the background and out of crowds, and am a very quiet and private person in real life.
Another thing that people might be surprised to find out, is that one of my biggest dreams growing up was to join the Army, and I tried, but was unable to because of my disabilities. That broke my heart, but I willhave many friends and family who are in the military, and who have been in the military, and I have a high regard and love for the military. One other thing that surprises people for some reason is that I am only a little over 5'5" inches tall. One time I was told that I didn't carry myself like someone that size, and that I seemed much bigger because of my attitude. Still not sure what that meant, but I think it was a compliment. lol Please share things about yourself that may surprise us. I will share more as it comes to me. |

I too am on the quiet side. I am willing to bet that most people who post messages on these websites are quiet or shy. It's a good way to be heard without worrying about making an ass of myself.

I agree Mike. Many of my online friends that I have talked to on the phone with, were so much different then I expected. I think the internet gives shy people the freedom to come out of our shells a bit. It has even helped me to come out of my shell a bit more in my offline life as well. I'll never be a social butterfly, but I'm happy to say I'm getting better, and it's alot less nerve racking for me being around people these days.

Back to the original question, I'm not sure there is anything about me that would surprise anyone. I'm pretty open about things, and if there is something that would shock folks, I'm not going to post it here.
