Ralph Kramden, a NY Giants fan? (Part 1) (The NY Giants won the NFC Wild Card round by beating the Atlanta Falcons 24-2.)
(Alice is home washing the dishes. Trixie come in.) Trixie: “Hi Alice! Did you notice how the Giants won?” Alice: “Yup, and any minute now our two boys are going to be coming home hootering and hollering.” Trixie: “They really love their New York sports teams.” Ralph & Ed (from the hallway, singing loudly and off-key): “LET’S COUNT ON NEW YORK/NEW YORK.” (Ralph & Ed come in. Audience applauds.) Ed: “Hey, with what we just sung, Alicia Keys would love us.” Ralph: “Hi Alice! Hi Trixie! What a game. Those Giants really grounded those Falcons.” Ed: “Poor Atlanta never knew what hit them.” Ralph: “I wonder what the next victims for the Giants are going to be.” Ed: “I think it’s Green Bay.” Ralph: “Those Giants will easily beat Green Bay.” Alice: “Ralph, you are aware of the fact that Green Bay won the Super Bowl last year and had only one loss this season, right?” Ralph: “Yes, I am. I wish it was Detroit. Detroit would have been easier.” Alice: “What makes you think that Ralph?” Ralph: “Well, a few years ago, they were the WORST team in the NFL history. They went a full season and then some without winning a game.” Trixie: “Ralph that was 2008. This is the 2011/2012 season.” Ralph: “Well, they still have several of those bad players on that team.” Ed: “I remember. That team was the laughing stock of the NFL. McGarrity from upstairs told me that that 2008 team reminded him of something.” Ralph: “Of what?” Ed: “All the times you lost when you tried to become a millionaire with one of your crazy schemes.” Ralph (yells): “GET OUT! GET OUT! GEEEEEEEEEEEET OUT!” (Ed & Trixie leave.) (Jackie Gleason walks on stage. Audience applauds.) Jackie: “Thank you. GOOD NIGHT.” (Audience cheers.) |
