(Including the KST pilot they aired, along with a B&W alternate print from 16mm with the RFYL title) RTV airings,Syndication Airings or Film Transfers are fine.

I'm looking for the following NAKED CITY half-hour episodes that haven't turned up on the RTV runs.
Show 15 - 06/Jan/59 The Manhole (GS: John Karlin) Show 32 - 05/May/59 The Sandman (GS: Will Kuluva) Old syndication broadcasts (Either U.S. or Australia) or Film Transfers are ok I've got 16 of the half hour shows from film transfers, and several of the hour shows that were never released on DVD from film transfers or good digital conversions from Australian airing (All which look A LOT Better than what RTV is using!) She's mentioned as having a column based in the Journal-American, which makes her the second Journal-American based columnist to be used by the show (following Suzy Knickerbocker) since Dorothy Kilgallen's death, and I have a feeling that might not have been coincidental. Somewhat eerily, Joyce almost knocks off the first spot in her first questioning segment, just like Suzy did her first appearance. Never underestimate the ghost of Kilgallen rubbing off on her colleagues before their first appearance! Bennett mentions the 75th birthday of John's father-in-law, Chief Justice Earl Warren. A lot of people in the midwest and south might have turned off their sets at that point, since "Impeach Earl Warren" had become a popular slogan in parts of the country as the result of controversial decisions on criminal justice matters (and not because of the Warren Commission!). Another topical reference that comes up during the spot with the contestant who stitches baseballs is how both Don Drysdale and Sandy Koufax were refusing to report to spring training because management wouldn't meet their salary demands (and this was a gutsy stance to take in the pre-free agency days) Panel Bennett Cerf, Arlene Francis, Tony Randall, and Dr. Joyce Brothers 30 min B/W EXC- #1983B 39)1966 w/Marcel Marceau 30 min B/W EXC- #1983D 40) 4/4/66 Female guest panelist is Mrs. James Mason(Pamela) Mystery Guest: Woody Allen Panel Bennett Cerf, Arlene Francis, Tony Randall, and Mrs. James Mason 30 min B/W EXC- #1982A 41)4/10/66 Guest Lee Remick A significant show in WML history as future host Larry Blyden makes his first ever appearance on the show as a guest panelist. Also, the first spot produces something I don't think ever happened before or afterwards in WML history where just one panelist (Jayne Meadows) is blindfolded for a contestant but the rest aren't. (In this case, Steve Allen's secretary). Those intrigued by those comments about the play she was starring in at the time "Wait Until Dark" would be well-advised to pick up the 1967 movie version with Audrey Hepburn in Lee's role. It's a wonderfully chilling movie) Panel Bennett Cerf, Arlene Francis, Larry Blyden, and Audrey Meadows 30 min B/W EXC- #1982C 42)6/12/60 Mystery guest: Van Johnson Panel: Arlene Francis, Dorothy Kilgallen, Bennett Cerf, Joey Bishop 30 min B/W EXC- #1982D |
