No, it was Gavin MacLeod.
He was in 2 early episodes as the same character.

I have never seen Ed Asner(or a lot of the cast) in anything pre MTM.

Ed Asner was definitely on 'Hawaii Five-0.' The only reason I know that is because he is reprising his old role on the reboot 'Hawaii Five-0 on CBS.

I never knew Gavin was on that show too...interesting indeed.

I saw it a long time ago and parts of it a few years back. He was heavier and a very nasty villian. He really got into it. I read an interview where he said he kept coming back to that role when asked about his favorites. He was quite impressive and very un-Murray like. I wouldn't have guessed he had it in him to get that deep into the role.

I'm not surprised that Ed Asner was also on Hawaii 5-0.
In fact, when I get a chance I am going to google it.

I only saw the Gavin episodes recently, however I had read or heard somewhere about him being on that show so I knew about this for a while.
