I don't know the answer to that one,but anyway,here's the answer to my question:It was the late Ray Charles.Oh,by the way,shortly before his death in 2004,he did a CD of duets of his hits with other artists called "Genius Loves Company" Now,for a REAL hard one-Which late singer was nicknamed "Mr.Excitement?"(Again,it's NOT the late Michael,Jackison)Some of his hits include 1)1957's"Reet Petite"(The Finest Girl You'd Ever Wanna Meet)2)1958's"Lonely Teardrops",3)1959's "I'll Be Satisfied",4)1960's "Night",5)1960's"Doggin'Around"-B-side of "Night" 6)1963's "Baby Workout" and 5)The original briskly-paced version of (Your Love Keeps Lifting Me)"Higher and Higher"from 1967.
