Lightbulb Frasier show of the mid-week club

Where am I going with this post? I'm glad that you clicked on it for me to explain it. I was thinking, I just finish watching the entire show of Frasier from the pilot to the finale just weeks ago. I was wondering if a few of you awesome fans would like to join me in watching it again with me. Do you have them on DVD??? This would be like a book of the month club, but instead of getting together to discus a book, we would be discussing the episodes that we watched. Instead of watching a show a night (daily club) or weekly, I thought we could take two or three days for each show.

Grab a cup of your favorite "Double cappuccino, half-caf, nonfat milk, with just enough foam to be aesthetically pleasing..." and let's have coffee talk about the episodes of Frasier.

What do you think? Any takers?

Come on. Take that leap.

Well of course I'm a taker! I won't pass up any chance (at all) to discuss this show. Can we do not more than two a week though? I work two, sometimes three jobs.

Would you like to do one a week?

I'd be up for it. It's been years since I discussed Frasier episodes at length with others and I'd like to get back into it.

No, two or for some episodes even three is fine. I'll keep up as I can. I can always go back to some later if I had a heavy work week. I was just a little worried about daily or every other day.

AWESOME! Let's start the new year with Frasier. We'll discuss the pilot on the 2nd and go from there. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join in when they can, of course.

We'll try to keep the pace of about an episode about every 3 days - might fall behind a time or two, but no one will be expected to keep up, it's just a nice idea that we'll be looking for this on the board.

Cool beans. I have a suggestion. It's logical to go in airing order but I'd recommend starting off with the pilot but then bounce around in a randomized order with us taking turns picking the eps. This may seem really strange however I recall several years ago on a Yahoo Groups Frasier board we did an episode per week for discussion in chronological order. We didn't even make it to the end of the second season because everyone got bored discussing the same arcs/timeframe/setting that eps in the same season naturally carries. Plus everyone knew that it would be literally years until we reached some of our favorites from later seasons. They whole thing was generally too predictable which led to many losing interest.

But this is your thing Pat so its up to you. I just think the randomized order would be more accommodating to people who don't have all 11 seasons (it is alot of DVDs to buy lol). Keeping it organized with an "upcoming shows" list of the next 10 or so episodes would give everyone plenty of foresight. Just my 2 cents...

I like that idea. That sounds great.

And since Frasier is returning to both Hallmark (every single weeknight) and WE TV (weekdays and Friday evenings) here in the states beginning on January 2nd, that would give those who don't have the dvd's another option to participate as well, without having to solely rely on youtube. I believe the pilot is airing on Hallmark on Wed, Jan 4, so anyone who wants to participate could watch it then. Between the weekdays, weeknights, and Friday nights, there's lots of choices and lots of different seasons going on at once:

Just another option besides youtube, and easier to view episodes if anyone doesn't know all the episode titles to search on youtube too.

That's a great idea but I don't come here as much as I used to so I may have to just catch up. Of course I don't need an excuse at all to watch Niles! I was thinking that there should also be a thread called "the last Frasier ep you watched." There seems to be one for everything else! LOL
